LOGLINE
Marco, a former piano prodigy, has long withdrawn from the life he once knew. One hour before midnight on Christmas Eve, he walks away from the church where he is meant to play mass and disappears into a night outside of time.
Through visions, memories, and impossible encounters, fragments of his buried identity begin to resurface, forcing him to confront the life he abandoned and the self he left behind.
Elegant, Visionary and Profoundly Human.
SÉ – Al Confine Dell’Aria is an immersive, surreal journey through memory, desire, and the courage to choose one’s own life. A film that surprises with extraordinary musical sequences, images suspended in time, and characters who seem to emerge from a dream.
Poetic, profound, and unpredictable, SÉ invites us to look within without ever sacrificing spectacle. A breath of fresh air for the mind, an experience that nourishes the soul and continues to live within the viewer long after the final image fades.

SYNOPSIS
Once, Marco was a gifted young performer who could turn the piano into a body, music into movement, and the stage into a place without rules.
Then something broke.
For years, he has lived far from the spotlight, quietly accompanying services in small provincial churches. No one knows why he abandoned the world that once seemed to belong to him. Perhaps not even Marco.
Five years earlier, seated at a piano in an empty church, Marco has a vision. Time dissolves. The body remembers. The pianist he had buried reappears before his eyes.
Five years later, a mysterious woman suggests that the vision did not come from somewhere outside him, but from something still alive within.
Then Christmas Eve arrives.
One hour before midnight, Marco reaches the church where he is meant to play for Mass. But the door closes in front of him.
Marco chooses not to enter.
And so begins a night suspended between memory and reality.
Moving through places from his past and encounters that seem to belong to another dimension, Marco rediscovers fragments of a life he had stopped recognizing as his own. Each encounter opens a crack in reality, drawing him closer to the man he had chosen to forget.
Until he reaches the old Balera dell’Ortica, where a photograph and a conversation bring down the final mask.
Marco realizes that he had mistaken surrender for peace. That he had waited too long for permission to live.
Outside, the night races toward midnight.
Marco returns to the church.
He enters. Walks to the piano.
One note. Then another.
What seems to be the beginning of a sacred hymn transforms into something unexpected: irreverent, physical, free.
The church bells strike midnight.
It is Christmas.
And Marco, at last, chooses his own life.
SÉ.
